Model providers

Understand the difference between local execution and an explicitly configured cloud provider.

Local and cloud profiles

Kratyx is designed around a local-first mission boundary. A local model can reduce external data transfer, subject to the model and runtime you install.

Cloud execution requires an accepted provider profile. Content sent to a cloud model is governed by that provider's terms, retention settings, and availability.

Before enabling a provider

  • Confirm which data will leave the device.
  • Use an account and API credentials you are authorised to use.
  • Do not place secrets in mission text.
  • Review provider-specific retention and training controls.
